Plans have recently been submitted for the renovation and extension of Kingshill Farmhouse, a Grade 2 listed building on the Elmley National Nature Reserve to provide tourism and residential facilities.
A new building will be used for events and conferences as well as educational visits and overnight stays.
The site has a rich history; King James II, the son of Charles Ii was imprisoned here whilst trying to flee to France in 1688.
