About: Thomas Dunn

Before joining the practice in 2011, Tom spent 5 years at Wilkinson Eyre working on projects including Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, The National Waterfront Museum in Swansea and The Venice Biennale. He then spent 2 years at Consarc working on The iCon in Daventry and an eco-tourism masterplan in North Africa. Tom believes that understanding the history, context, topography and ecology of a site is at the root of good design and that this is key to creating contemporary elegant buildings. Tom is passionate about sustainable architecture, seeking to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy and development space as well as the ecosystem at large. Tom is Design Director for Dunn Architects, manages the London office and is responsible for the practice's large masterplan and development project in Dubai.
